Portraits Sessions
What happens at my dog’s portrait session?
We meet up during golden hours, give your dog a fun and treat-filled time and create a variety of natural-light images of your dog in a captivating natural location in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
Can we do our session at home?
Home sessions are available for dogs with physical limitations, as well as for those nearing the end of life, who require the comfort of familiar surroundings.
Do you do sessions outside of the County?
Yes, I have done dog photography sessions across Canada and in Europe. Additional travel costs will be added to the session fee, on a case-by-case basis.
Can I be in the photos with my dog?
Yes! I love to capture the bond you share with your dog. You can choose to be fully in the shots in close-up, or we can keep your dog as the main attraction by focusing on your hands in their fur, showing just your legs framing your small dog, or having you walk behind your dog in less sharp focus.
Can my whole family come to the session?
Unfortunately, no. This is too distracting for your dog, and I specialize in dog photography, not family photography. I’d be happy to direct you to some family photographers in the County, if you’re looking for a more family-focused session.
What does my $200 session fee cover?
Your session fee covers:
a 30-minute pre-shoot consultation
a 2-hour photo session
a 45-minute image review session to select the art you wish to have printed
Are printed products or digital files included in the session fee?
No, the session fee does not include wall art, albums or digital files.
How do I order wall art or albums?
You can order wall art and albums at your image review session. Choose from one of three print packages, offered at a range of price points, or talk with me about an à la carte option to get custom art for your home or work space.
Why can’t I just have the digital files?
I take print orders only to make the process effortless for you and ensure the highest quality of finished art. I work with fine art photography printers, using gallery-quality giclee printing for wall art and can also create an heirloom-quality layflat album with all your favourite images from the session, to display on your coffee table.
While I don’t offer digital files only, I’m happy to provide you with complementary JPEGs of any prints you order, sized for personal use, such as emailing to loved ones or social media sharing.
